The original scope was to provide external CCTV to help secure the premises following a spate of break ins and damage to the property, to do this Grantfen built the solution around a Genetec video management platform and a mix of Axis static and pan, tilt zoom CCTV Cameras.
The client needed the system to protect the perimeter and operate autonomously with minimal human interaction. Therefore, on the static cameras installed Grantfen deployed the Axis perimeter defender video analytic detection system, each camera was designed and commissioned specifically to detect intruders within defined areas in the boundaries of the site.
Grantfen strategically placed IP Horn Speakers throughout the site connected back to the Genetec Streamvault server. Upon detection of an intruder from the Axis perimeter defender analytic, an automated audio challenge is issued from all speakers on site, whilst also providing an output to the site lighting system bringing all LED lights to 100%. This was achieved working closely with the site contractor PH Electrical. The system also signals activations and transmits video signals back to our Genetec monitoring center who are able to inform and dispatch the relevant authorities.
The final element of the solution was enabling the client to easily set and unset the system, this was achieved by installing a radio fob system connected to the Genetec streamvault server which upon set or unset of the system would either activate or deactivate the Axis Perimeter Defender analytic. Radio fobs enable the client to set/unset the system whilst outside the site boundary once locked up. The set/unset of the system is signalled by a single or double ‘chirp’ provided from the speaker located on the exit route.
The System utilises analytics to signal to our Genetec monitoring center where we receive alarms, connect to The Genetec server on site, remotely patrol, dispatch authorities and make audible announcements to site. Grantfen have disrupted multiple break in and attack attempts.
